28th Sihui Wedding Dinner

Sihui is a ex-colleague of mine.Well,we used to work in the mos burger.I started working during 1998-2001 while she worked from 1999-2002.I was shocked when i received the Invitation Card last month. She's younger than me but yet she's going to marry today.
Patrick,my room-mate & coincidencely also Sihui's Sec ex-classmate,drove me and his buddies(whom i do not know except Li Ping and Judy whom both worked in Mos Burger too) to the resturant.
When we arrived, we were greeted by the couple.Si hui is beautiful that day, and no wonder people says a lady's most beautiful moment is the day of marriage.I met my mos burger ex colleagues whom i had not see for yrs.I also noticed that Sihui's friends all dressed like want to attend Miss Singapore like that, quite pretty. For the guys,errr.. ok lah, they dress up quite handsome too. -_- I thought i was attending Prom night. We took photos with the bride and bridegroom.Hm hope that they will sent me the pic fast!!The dinner end at around 10 pm.I congratulate them one last time, hoping to see sihui round the neighbourhood soon.

22nd June: joey & mervyn Big Day-wedding ceremony

Together with my long-time-no-contact dancer friends,we went to Yishun Safra Club. Its our fellow ex-dance mate joey's day of marriage with her husband mervyn.

Well its not in the church that they were taking the oath, as they're not christians. We walk into the room and shook hands with the beloved couple after signing the guest book. There are about 6 tables of guest including us,and there's food(buffet ) yummy. But b4 that, we witness the oath taking session.."Will u take care of him/her for rich, poor, sick ....Although it last for onli about 5 mins, its a very touching moment for everyone. Its my first time to attend the ceremony.I start to miss joey already.

(8th of june-Helping in The children's Home.)

Our Junior Rating class,Delta, consist of 20 fellows(16 m 4 Fm),were assigned to go to one of the children'shome in sembawang, lead by our Course Commander,Staff Sergeant Chua.We have to reach there by 9 am.We are supposed to go there ourselves,no transport provided. But some of our classmates drive us there.

The Children's Home is not as big as i expected.I have never been to The Home.Throughout the days after knowing i will be helping out the domestics work there on Sat,i try to image how does a Home look like.Big House,Big Garden, and its facilities and room might be as furnish as Orchard library. But i was wrong. From the moment we step out from the vehicle, we can tell that it originate from a old Bunglow. They just repaint everything. Likewise in the living room ,they had brought in furnitures ,shelves and 2 televisions which all came from kind donations from the public.(second-hand mostly)The interor of the Home is just like another PAP kindergarden school:art works from childen, story books, and individual photos of them pasted on a big styrofoam board hanging on the wall. The individual names are pasted on their pictures respectively. They have a small garden with 2 swings (garden and size are just like bunglow chalet in Pasir ris ).

Those children are adorable. They are no difference from the kids in PAP kindergarden..except they are a little bit quiet.I remembered that Staff Chua told us to understand the situation that some of them are extreme naughty kids, so pardon them always. We were mustering outside the main door of the Home and we can see children led by the other 20 volunteers out for an excursion.(dunno where they are going).Suddenly, one kid(he is a very cute and adorable child.i might use the word" beautiful" child to describle the 4 yr old child) peeped behind the door, and pointed us a middle finger. ...~ -_- Oh my god~ it shocked everyone of us. I dun remember during my childhood days, anyone points middle finger. It onli came to Seconddary school .My first assumption is that Generation Z young children are like that. But on the second thought..... Staff Chua is right: understand and pardon them. Once the children and volunteers ahve left, i and my buddies went to the kitchen to look for the pictures and the individual names(hang on the wall)The boy's name is Gerrard.~
We divided into 4 groups and each were responsible for cleaning one area.Mine are the windows. When i was cwiping the windows, i could see the teachers' office is located in normal room(size of bunglow chalet room)quite ok to put 3 tables and a book shelves there. It is air-condition.
Ok nevermind on this small detail..however we noticed that not every children went for the excursion. There is a girl about around 4 yrs old sitting on a sofa watching TV.Her left arm was bandaged. She looks quiet and lonely.Actually there was a teacher and a caretaker at that time, but each is very bussy with their old stuff. The female classmate(4) went to approach the girl.they chat and play with her.I didn't hear her speack.. or perhaps she dun realli like to speak.she looks moody..but better after they play with her.

Around 11 am,the job end. I relunctantly left the place...the place that makes me understand life better. The world is not as beautiful as u see. When walking along Bugis junction, junction 8 or Orchard road etc, u see good looking people wearing fancy clothes. But there are lots of pple needs help.~ The old folks, the disabled, the sick and the homeless children.

The Children's Home realli makes me realised that.I realli going to start donating liao.
